Walnut Needlepoint Frame

A piece of needlework this detailed deserves a frame that won’t compete with it. I kept the walnut simple, with clean lines and a gentle bevel that draws the eye inward toward the stitching.

A wide white mat gives the scene room to breathe, so the colors of the river, the parasol, and the little cottage come forward. Maple splines at each corner strengthen the miters and add a quiet flash of light against the dark walnut.
