Asanoha Corner Screen
Two walnut-framed panels of hand-fitted asanoha kumiko, set against shoji paper around a small corner shelf.
This small screen brings the Japanese art of kumiko into a quiet corner. Each panel centers on an asanoha pattern, a traditional design long seen as a symbol of growth and protection.
Every piece of the lattice is cut and fitted by hand, held in place with tiny dabs of rice glue and set against shoji paper so light glows gently through. The two dark walnut frames meet at an angle and share a small corner shelf.
